i'd venture towards boost leak. are you on stock IC piping?
also, what was your boost target and the WGDCc?
my stock turbo did this nonsense but not to this degree. it was beautiful most of the time when testing 2k-7500k but if you jump on it hard at 3500-5k rpm it would spike like 26 and dip to 23 then slowly recover to ~25 where it was supposed to be.
ultimately i settled with boost target +/- 1.5 psi by running a lower wgdc & adding upwards correction to try to reach goal. this prevented the spike which was always followed with that huge dip.
with so much variation i ruled it was not tune, it was mechanical and most likely boost leak. i never got around to leak testing since i changed the entire setup.

Here it is again with load turned on, I don't log AFR via standalone:

Here is the datazap log with WGDCc turned on:

As an FYI, it does those crazy spikes and dips with no WGDDc too.
I checked all clamp positioning on the upper half of the system this last weekend. There where a couple semi loose clamps which I tightened but it didn't change anything.
I'm going to check the lower half this Saturday.

OEM Catback
Resonated test pipe
I got home with some daylight left yesterday so I jacked the car up quickly and undid the right side of the under tray to get to the lower IC connections and found a semi loose clamp on the lower IC pipe. Tightened the two clamps.
On the way to work this morning the car felt better and I was anxious to load up the log once I got to work. I had updated the firmware on the OP 2.0 logger last night and unfortunately for some reason the new firmware does not like numerals used in parameter names (2byterpm) so I had no log to look at.
I'll get a log on the way home tonight.

Had the maiden voyage for this Evo yesterday at the track. I'll write up a more detailed report tonight but I was very happy with the car overall for how little and basic the mods are, I was so much more comfortable tracking the Evo 10 then I was the Fiesta ST. Since I tracked my Evo 8 heavily, It was like driving a old pal with new tricks.
For now, here are two action packed photos of it hard parked in the paddock:

Edit : NVM.... read the city wrong, you are in NorCal.... But I guess e85 is still pretty rare in CA.
hey, razor, I see you living in LA as well.
I am just curious how livable is E85?
As much as I love easy power on e85, I can't see myself driving 30 mins to fill up the gas.
And I believe mpg is going to be decreased once I go e85 as well.
My commute is alone 60 fwy and 10 fwy... and I don't see any e85 stations around those fwys ...
Is your car DD? I am just wondering how you managed it?
Do you stock them up at home? I thought about it, but I think it is a terrible idea.

It's not a big deal if you manage things well. Not really a pain at all.
