Might be worth calling Bilstein to see what they have to say.

Yea, people do say the revalved bilstiens are harsh, but the same people said the spec-r springs are amazing.

That being said I have the Swift Spec-R springs (on gsr KYBs) and have been running them for 1.5 years. I initially loved them but roads around here are pretty good. I did feel they performed admirably on track too.

After putting a good amount of miles on them, I'm noticing bumps tend to unload the suspension. It never loses grip but feels a bit lost/floaty. I still like them fine. If i had to buy springs again, it would still be between these and the GT-Worx. I'm moving to coil-overs now.

Also, I always thought they were linear rates. In fact I know I read they were. Yay for misinformation.

Small update. Rack on, boards on. First trip to the snow in the 10 in '14, done.

AYC is weird in the snow... :-/ Not a fan so far. My Evo 8 is a beast compared.

I still like my Evo 8 more. The 10 just feels big, heavy and handles weird compared, especially in harsher conditions (rain, snow).

Only time I run pump fuel is when I do a long road trip (to the snow, etc) and I'm forced to.

There is a very slim chance it will ever see the twisty track or go car bowling. In fact, I've been to the drag strip maybe 4x total in the last 20 years. I do wish I would have gone with my RA just to see what it would have done but oh well.

Hey Medz ...offer is open to bring it to Sac this spring and run a test and tune day. I bet on E-85 it can still hang with the stock newer Stangs.

Spend a little more time in the snow and I think you may find that the X trumps any 1G, 2G DSM, evo8, 9, etc in the snow. I've driven and owned all through the last 12 Minnesota winters and the X is hands down the best. Besides being more comfy (well...mine has heated seats ), I'd go so far to say that even most SUVs couldn't dream of doing what this car can with a good set of snow tires. Just turn off traction control and engage snow mode, the thing is unstoppable.

Kudos on the ski rack! Love it!
