Bryan,
I cannot remember if I asked you about your heat wrap job on your manifold and turbine. Where did you get that material, did you use SS wire or inconel? Can normal metal snips be used to shape and trim it? Keep the videos coming! I can just imagine the lotus guy.....ok yeah Porsche I will let him by.... WTF is this on my @ss now !?

Did some more work on the car today. I have to say I'm getting sick of working on the car again and just want to drive it.
Worked on making an oil cooler duct. This took forever (about 4 hours) and A LOT of back and forth and still not perfect. Used coroplast. It's pretty darn sturdy but looks super janky. I'll see if it does anything this next track event and then maybe have somebody fab the same thing out of aluminum later.
Also installed a tow hook because the organizers of my next event require it.
I got SUPER lucky with my off track excursion last event. Couple more MM's and my less than 300 miles on it Greddy FMIC would have been trash.

Then I made it out of coroplast and aluminum tape, jank-o-rama but it's sturdy:

I was going through the car tonight in prep like I do before every track day. Taking plugs out to check everything over, my heart sank. Oil on plug, oil in cylinder. The weird thing is the car ran fine.
Going to do a compression check but not when it's night time so my neighbors don't hate me.
Super bummed right now. I hate cars.

How many miles are on the rebuild? Was anything reused? Is this the first set of plugs that have been used since the rebuild?
If the car was running fine before, I'd throw new plugs at it, drive on em for a couple hundred miles, pull em again, inspect and do compression and leakage tests. I've seen some freak stuff before where 1 or 2 plugs look pretty fouled but the engine runs fine, nothing wrong with compression/leakage, new plugs and they look just fine the next time they come out.
