Three and a half months after dropping the car off, the head is finally off.

This is number three with under 80 miles on it. The old machine shop didn't fix crap.

Okay... I am at my wit's end here.

Totally different head. was pressure tested. no cracks. All new valve train, seals, guides, cams, etc CNC ported.

#3 piston was taken out and inspected. All checked out.

Put the new head on. Mechanic drove the car home last night and came back to the shop today and pulled the plugs... and...

Same problem exists. What the hell is going on here??????

Maybe the oil control rings on the # 3 piston? You could try swapping them out.

Only explanation at this point is there is an issue with the rings.

If for sure oil fouled and not super fat injector issue then yeah....Only thing left is ring / piston. Beginning to sound like my brother and his TT Z06 issues.
Stuff never ends...... I would have tapped out long ago.

Sorry man....
Just verify it isn't maybe as simple as a crappy injector. If it is internal then Murphy definitely has been crappin in your stuff.

I can teach you how to be a hard parkin bench racer.

Congrats on the wedding. That's awesome. Why shouldn't you suffer like the rest of us... JK.
Terrible saga withe this engine mate.
You said the #3 was pulled and inspected. Suggesting to me the rings had been checked also. Which some posts suggest to check oil rings etc.
So nothing was found to be wrong withe the rings? Or clearances?
I hope at least you find out the answer to the problem before selling.
Food luck and de-stress bro. It's a killer in more ways than one.

Yah no kidding.... I've got a couple of hard parked money pits myself. If only all our problems could start with "My racecar" +1 on selling. Then buy the GTR you coulda probably had, or come back home to the CT9A

Agreed. I feel a slight sense of loss now that this build thread is coming to an end.

This is also why I'm always hesitant to modify my car past stock block and stock turbo. Even with good experience, careful parts selection, and good attention to detail, it only takes one small issue to completely derail a build. Hopefully you can get some quick closure on the sale for now.

The whole thing that set me down this stupid path was the car blowing up with stock block and stock turbo.
