Daily driven budget evo VIII build
I set out to mod my car buying things that were reasonably priced with the goal of hitting 400 awhp. Mods are as follows
Fp4r cams bought new for $200
Beehive springs bought new for $50
Fp hta71 bought new for $600 (just the chra because I used my hot side)
Evo ix J-pipe $25
Ets 3.5" intercooler and licp bought used for $450
Works cat back used for $75
No Name down pipe $50
New helix test pipe $40
Hallman pro mbc new $100
Ngk bpr7es spark plugs $10
Injen uicp and intake used $75
Evo ix bov used $100
Gsc +1mm valves $260
Oem head gasket $40
Cosmetics:
Rota g-force 18x9 wheels used $800
Spacers and lugnuts $120
Jdm headlight reflectors $75
Jdm replica depot taillights $160
Fp license plate frame $3
Blacked out headlight lens $20
Ported head to replAce my head after I broke a valve $225
I'm still on stock clutch and injectors, I recently made 360awhp on a mustang dyno which would be around 406hp on a dyno dynamics or dynojet so I'm happy for the money I have in the car. I bought the car with 60k miles and did the 60k service using the parts just from rockauto.com and I used redline fluids. I run vr1 conventional oil which is around 6 bucks a quart and is recommended by fp for the turbo. My next mods will be bigger injectors and a quartermaster clutch. I'm deploying again soon so by the time I get back I will have those parts at my house and I'll throw them on and turn up the boost. Car currently has 86000 miles on it since its an mr I think I'll buy a 5speed and do the swap when I do the clutch. I also plan on buying a daily driver so the car will get alot more track time.
