EB IX GSR SSL- The Blue Bull - MAP EF3, S2, Full Race

I figured I would start a build journal here. I purchased my first EVO earlier in the year. I wanted a IX GSR. Took many months of searching for a stock or stockish one.

Here is how I got her. 71K miles EVO IX GSR SSL in EB. Completely unmolested with a Mint interior. Beautiful shifting transmission. Car consumes zero oil. It only had a turbo back exhaust and a brand new Exedy Clutch with ACT Steet flywheel installed from Ivey Tune.

I quickly started to modify the car. The first things I added were:

Walboro Fuel Pump

ETS wide tank FMIC
New bank #1 O2 sensor

So I hit the DYNO at PSI Proformance In Lansdale PA www.psiproformance.com (Steve is the man FYI)

I made 344 AWP

The Numbers were OK, the car was quick but it left a lot to be desired.

Soooo I started buying more parts, I started with some Fortune Auto 500's because I was getting tired at looking at the 4x4 wheel gap:

The car is currently in the shop. Some new goodies are being installed.

Note that's some coolant drip, stock pistons were in excellent shape.

Its still not all put together otherwise I would have final engine shots. I'm going speed density finally! woohoo.

I'm sure I am forgetting some odds and ends but you get the drift.

Still running the stock IX intake manifold and TB. That will probably be next and a bigger turbo If I don't like my numbers.

Car should be all wrapped up by end of the weekend. My next tuning appointment is Tuesday 11/26 at PSI proformance. Looking for a 93 Pump tune, hoping for over 450whp.
