Well the time has came to build my evo. This car was my DD until the other day when a rod when through the block. It will be a long process but a great experience.

History of the car: 2004 WW RS (salvage title, main reason I won't sell it)
66k miles
Sept 2013- Tcase went out
November 2013- Trans seized.
April 2014- Rod through block.

Not a mechanic by any means but I have learned and done all repairs/upgrades myself. Expensive but a good time.
Mods as of now:
Stock block- dead
S3 cams (so I was told but no markings)
Ef3 3.5in ETS intercooler and piping
competition clutch stage 3
3in exhaust (looks like HKS but no markings)
MAP REV2 o2 housing
FIC 1100 injectors
walbro 255
Okada coils

Future plans:
2.4LR:
-Manley I beams
-Wiseco HD2 10.5:1
OEM 100mm crank
ACL bearings
ARP main studs
Cylinder Head (depending on damage):
Manley stainless steal valves
seals and valve guides undecided
S3 cams unless I can verify my current ones
Cam gears- unknown
I will update as I can. Hopefully tear down will start saturday and I will update with pictures{thumb up}

Update: Couldn't sleep so I got up at 3:30 am and started the tear down. Ended up getting the head off and bagging up all the bolts, lifters and rocker arms. I did whack valves on cylinder #1 and #4. The head looks to me like it is ok after a nice resurface. I will be going ahead with all new valves. I do have some pictures but I am about to be late for work and I want to resize them.

Thanks for the kind words! I was going to start this weekend but my dog got sick at 230 am and pooped everywhere. I couldn't fall back asleep so I went to the lab. And started the process. Should be picking up a block in the next couple day.

Updated with some more pics!
Block fell through The guy posted it as a 2.4 but it ended up being a 2.7.. As you can see, I started the tear down.

Head is salvageable I believe but I'll let the machine shop determine that. It needs to stop raining on and off here. Its in a garage but very small (apartment).

I should have block and trans out Saturday just depends if I go block hunting.

Well. I'm bored….I guess Ill give a wire tuck a whirl. No real power goals with the car right now. I just realized I did not state my goals. I am just going to max out my current set up with some more supporting mods. Winter time comes I will look into a bigger turbo and what not. I am really just focusing on building a nice clean evo.
