FS: 2003 BBY Evo (heavily modified)

Poof! Gone! Sold! Thanks for the support folks!

Well, I hate to do this but I think I'm going to sell my Evo. I've spent countless hours working on this car and building it. It's 99% complete at this point, only requiring some additional fine tuning to improve streetability. I've had this car on the track and street since the build and it is a beast. In current state of tune this car will put down a solid 400whp on 93 octane at 19psi. It needs more aggressive cams and some more tuning to live up to it's full potential but aside from that it's a solid performer.

Description: 2003 BBY Lancer Evolution (low-wing) w/ sunroof w/ 20464 miles on the chassis.

Location: Fairfax County, Virginia (15 miles outside of DC)

Condition:
The interior is clean with no major blemishes. The exterior is in prety good shape. It has a couple of dings here and there. Nothing that a visit from the "Ding Doctor" wouldn't take care of.

Mod list:
Interior:
-Craig Hardy 52mm gauge panel
-Autometer 52mm steering column gauge pod
-Autometer electric boost gauge.
-Defi D-Series oil temperature and oil pressure gauges
-Innovative Motorsports XD-1/LC-1 dash mounted WBO2 sensor & gauge.
-Din radio location moved to lower console area
-Alpine CD/MP3 reciever

Exterior:
-Stasis Engineering 2 piece rotors.
-MR blacked out headlight chrome
-JDM tail lights

Drivetrain:
Jackson Auto Machine built 2.3L stroker
-coated Venolia forged pistons 8.5:1CR
-Oliver billet rods
-100mm 4G63 forged crank
-ARP head studs
-ARP rod bolts
-ported & polished head
-new springs and titanium sring retainers
-1mm oversized valves
-HKS 264/264 cams
-FIC 850cc injectors
-billet fuel rail & standalone FPR
-Walbro 255lph fuel pump
-new factory oil pump
-Power Enterprises kevlar timing belt
-balance shaft removal
-Cometic MLS headgasket
TRE-spec rebuilt transmission
-Quaife Limited Slip Differential
-Exedy Twin Disk "carbometallic" clutch

Full Race Turbo Kit including:
-Garrett GT35R w/ .63A/R turbine
-Full Race 3" down pipe
-TiAl 44mm external wastegate with external dump
-Buschur Racing FMIC
-Buschur Racing UICP
-1G BPV/BOV
-3" Buschur Racing customized exhaust with Magnaflow muffler and center resonator
-Buschur Racing mini-battery
-Custom 4" intake with K&N cone filter.
-All hardpiping clamped using t-bar clamps

AEM EMS 1313U (integrated WBO2)
-billet Switzer Perfomance MAP sensor adaptor
-AEM 3.5 bar MAP sensor
-AEM IAT sensor
-GM boost control solenoid

Reason for selling:
I don't have enough free time to continue with the project. I'm about to begin building a second home and I don't have time to juggle both. I don't have the room to continue to garage the car and I don't feel right sticking it up on blocks in the backyard.
Photos available upon request.
PM me for contact information.
Asking $28,000. In light of the mods and the low mileage on the chassis, I feel this is a fair price. Low ball, asshat offers will be ignored. I have a clean and clear title in hand. For the serious qualified buyer this could move quickly.

Nice setup and IMO nice price. I see no reason why you should not sell this quickly...

I really like your choices and setup also. If I could swing a second Evo I would make you an offer.

Good luck with the sale. I think your car should go pretty quickly.

Here's a pic of the engine bay. Note: The inspection rejection sticker is due to the catless exhaust. I've got a gutted cat to install and it should pass visual inspection with no issue once that is installed.

Again, my reason for selling is that I honestly don't have enough time to dick around with the car to finish fine tuning. I've got too many projects competing for my free time and as a result I've sort of lost interest. So cliche...

Cool

Come on man you could come up with a better reason for selling the car, NO one would sell a car that is 99% complete heavily modified just because you don't have any more time for it. IF it's almost 99% you should drive it now sell it, it's got go have some damage inside the engine/tranny. Good luck.

Wow, your incredible LACK of insight into my thought processes or personal life situation is amazing. Or perhaps it is you that would attempt to sell a vehicle without fully disclosing it's condition. Personally I wouldn't do such a thing. My conscience and reputation is worth more to me than that.

If anyone is fearful of the condition of this car or it's motor, let me know. I can provide trade references from companies and individuals that have seen the car first hand. They're also advertisers on this message board.

Thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Maybe he should've said that he was mauled by a polar bear while he was in Peru and it stole his indentity and then his keys so he has to sell it. Is that a better reason?

Bump
