F/S in Boston: WW IX MR w/ mods...

CAR IS SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!! Thread can be closed.

My 2006 Lancer Evolution, my pride and joy, is now for sale.

The reason is quite simple, as I have made the decision to move to Japan indefinitely, and it seems senseless to keep a car I won’t be driving yet keep paying interest on it even as it depreciates…

If you are still interested read on…

The car has around 18.5k miles on it and it has been maintained meticulously throughout its entire life. This includes routine oil changes every 3000 miles, and the appropriate service at 15000 miles. It is mechanically flawless and runs better exactly as it did when I drove it off the lot. Proper break-in method was followed (some people said 600 miles but I waited until 1000). The clutch is stock and still very strong and grabs the same as it always has, as I never launch the car and rev-match every downshift. Near 20k on the stock clutch with no slippage is a good sign that the car has been treated right! On top of all this, the car was garaged 90% of it's life and I never allowed a single cigarette inside that car (which is tough being a smoker myself :P). Washed and waxed frequently.

Cosmetically the car has 2 blemishes. Fortunately they are both on easily replaceable parts. The first is on the front lip and the other is on the left side mirror. I would give this car a 9.5 out of 10 aesthetically for that reason.

History is 110% clean! Not even a tiny little fender bender. This car was great-grandma'd :P

I have also made the following upgrades to the car:

Jun BL cat-back
compustar alarm
sub/amp/component speakers in the front and alpine HU
3 defi gauges w/ control unit
Swift springs
Advan RCIIs gold 18" w/ 245/40/18 tires
stubby antenna
k&N filter
yellow fogs
Tinted windows 35 in the front and 20 in the rear
Evolution IX UK black badging in the rear.

EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE HAS BEEN PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED. Performance parts by Option JDM in Ontario (Canada) and Audio by Audio Heaven and Lockdown Security.

Pictures:

Pictures of the 2 blemishes

I am putting the price at $29,000. For the car you get, this price is very reasonable. The mods on it are are daily-driver friendly and will not void your warranty.

I’m very sad to have to be doing this… but, I know I will be behind the seat of another Evo in Japan soon.

SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY

-Aaron

*edit new pics and price dropped to 29,000 now!

As far as I know there aren't any centercaps for Advans. No one runs them at least.

Stock wheels have been sold.

These wheels look absolutely badass, especially at night because they glow haha.

FYI - the 100,000 mile 10 year warranty isn't transferrable. Looks like a nice car otherwise though.

If that's true then it's a damn shame...

Thanks for the support. This car has really been babied.

I'll warn you not to troll my thread once. If it happens again you won't be hearing from me directly.

It's 31 or best offer. I feel it's reasonable and I'm in no rush to sell.

Now get out of my thread.

Hey Gatorade,

how have you been man.

Ya it's been a crazy year to say the least... and I'm really sad to see this thing go. In my opinion the Evo IX is one of the most unbelievable cars ever made. I love everything about it and I will probably buy another one when I'm settled down in Japan

I just hope it finds a good home with someone who will take care of her as well as I did

Unless things have changed since last year that's BS. The warranty stays with the car. I bought my '03 used and I was able to get the calipers and the peeling wing warrantied.

Bump for a nice car and rims (had the same ones)

Thanks a lot for all the kind words everyone

I'm very happy to hear that the warranty carries over, because I tried to hard to modify this car within the limits of the factory warranty >.<

You need to read the fineprint again. The 5 year 60k bumper to bumper warranty transfers. The 10 year 100k warranty does not. This is the norm for all car manufacturers.

Interio picture added. Sorry about the bluriness.

Interior is 10/10 no blemishes anywhere. No holes drilled ever, etc.

Thank you for that clarification, I do recall that now that I think about it. Buyer still gets aprox. 3 years/40k left of warranty though.

Bump again for you, GL with the sale.
