FS: IL 1991 Honda CRX SI for sale!

Not an EVO......but in case there are any CRX guys out there......

I bought a CRX from a friend that I was considering doing a motor swap on, but have since decided I dont have the time or desire to mess with it! The car:

1991 CRX Si Red with black interior
168K miles and change
5-speed, moonroof, BONE STOCK!
alpine CD player

The car's exterior has a dent in the drivers front fender, a piece of door molding came off the passenger door....just needs reattached, and there is some rear quarter rust on the passenger rear quarter and a few surface rust spots on the hood from previous rock chips, and I also noticed a few bubbles on the moonroof as well.

The interior is in awesome condition! I will get some pics, but I didnt notice any issues with the interior at all!!!

Just had headgasket fixed. Had new timing belt, radiator, water pump, brakes installed from previous owner. Exhaust leaks under middle of the car where pipe is split, but I figured someone would buy it and thrown an exhaust on it so its a waste of time and money to fix it!!

This car is a very clean CRX with only minor cosmetic issues, and these are hard to find in decent condition these days!!

I am looking for $1500 cash for it as it sits.

Lowballers stay home.....I am not hurting for money and the car is listed on several other forums with a lot of interest!

PM me if you are interested.

Car is Located in Mattoon, IL 61938

Thanks!
Frank

Very nice. Rust is standard for these years hondas. Easy fix.

Only problem is that it is an Si. Insurance goes way up.

Looks ripe for a D16Y8 swap

GL with sale.

Its a honda crx.....I dont think insurance cost is an issue for anyone......especially anyone on this board paying for EVO insurance, so not sure what the point of that comment was!

Thanks for the bump!

You'd be suprised. My insurance for the Evo was less than that for my 96' 240sx and i only had liability on the 240. Very nice cars though! Id love to have one for a DD.

I am 28, married, multi line discount and all that crap and the evo was by FAR the highest insurance I have ever paid! It was like 120/month! My 2002 camry is 42/month, and I have had multiple civic's, integra's and other cars and the only one that was withing 50 bucks was a 2001 Impreza with STi swap. Now the insurance company had no idea it was swapped, but Impreza's are high rated too!

Again, I dont see how insurance is an issue on this car, but thanks for the bump!
