$16,000 is not enough. Plain and simple... especially for a "perfect running non salvage title"...

Unless it has 150k on it...

I'd say save up a tad bit more and get a really nice Evo.

Yes it is. Someone will sell an EVO for that. It doesn't have to have 150k miles on it either. My buddy found an 03' 2 years ago for $18,000 with 20k miles on the clock and nothing wrong with it at all.

Why not just get a $25,000 evo IX w/ low miles and put a $16,000 down payment and just make payments on $9,000? That's a pretty low payment if you can stretch that out to 60 months. Otherwise, "perfect driving" conditioned evos don't come around $16K.

It drives me nuts when people say things like: "Otherwise, "perfect driving" conditioned evos don't come around $16K.". YES THEY DO. Deals happen every day. Someone may be on the verge of losing their car and may have to get rid of it quickly. I've heard of people buying 03's and 04's for under 20k multiple times. Fact is the Evo X IS driving the price down. These are going to make great cheaper rally cars soon (the I-IX). Stick to your guns and I bet you, you will find an Evo for around your price range. Don't let people talk you into monthly payments either. You're better off w/o debt.

Holy crap dood, under 20k and 16k is a big effing gap yo.

EVOag, if you really want to stay out of debt, don't be in such a hurry to get the car, wait for a good deal (make sure you send an offer to all the ones you like ofcourse ), and the right deal will come to you.

That car is a salvage title...

$9,000 is a much better deal because the payment is VERY cheap...

Migs, dude come on now... if people are really worried about financial this and that, they shouldnt be buying a cheap EVO...

An 04 RS with 40k miles sold for 17k two weeks ago in NY. That's pretty close to 16k
