For Quick Sale: 2006 Evo IX MR Red Robispec Iowa
Price: $26,500
Alright, here's the deal. We're ready (like in the next week or so) to trade in our Evo IX MR. We received a decent offer, but it would help if we could get a little more, and I'd also love it if it went to a local Evo buff rather than a sneaky dealer that will try to sell it for $29k. This is a nice, well taken care of, non-molested car, non-smoked in car.
The good: It's red
and it's an Evo Overall beautiful condition. 18,xxx miles. We have owned it for almost two years and it was stored most of both winters. Most miles were put on by my wife, driving to and from work about 40 miles an hour. The only mods are suspension mods as listed below, performed by Robispec himself in my garage. It's been probably 2 or 3 long road trips that have accounted for probably 3,000 of the miles. The interior is perfect with no mods and has never been taken apart. The trunk is perfect. No mechanical issues what-so-ever and runs, drives, shifts like new. Also will include some '03 Evo wheels with some decent Yokohama winter tires that probably have a winter or two left in them. This car has never seen a race track of any type, and my wife isn't the type to street race.
The bad: Hood chips. Can mitsu figure out how to paint a freakin' red aluminum hood? Tons of them. The bumper is fine, no chips that I can see. You'll probably want to paint the hood. The plastic undertray is currently not on the car, there are a couple of pieces broken on the tray that you'd probably want to replace. Darn Iowa roads. Tires are decent but will probably need replacing soon.
Mods: Robispec basic setup. New springs, rear sway bar, bushing, and racing laser alignment. Best alignment by far I have ever had on a car, true, straight and handles like a dream. Would love to have tracked it, but never had the chance. This was a $1200 modification. The only other mod on the car is the Evolution badge was removed from the back, and a JDM MR badge was put in the lower right corner of the trunk.
I'm looking for a quick sale. If this doesn't move in the next few days, it's getting traded in. I'm not looking to take endless pics, but if you are SERIOUS I will take specific pictures for you. It's an '06 Evo MR. It's Red. You've seen them. It's clean and probably just about as un-molested as they come. I have the stock springs and bar if you want them. It has lots of hood chips. Other than that, there are no surprises.
This car books between $28k and $29k without the suspension upgrades. Keep in mind, throw the old springs and bar back on, get an alignment, and this car is stock. Looking for a quick sale at $26,500. And no, I do not want to ship it, sorry! Too much hassle. Email is best at rgonyer@mchsi.com

Well, I thought I described it pretty well! We've all pretty much seen a red Evo IX MR before. But I understand. As soon as I can get 20 minutes away from the vultures here at work, I'll get them up.

This is a perfect car for those that want a CF hood anyway "But honey, It's almost as cheap to get a new CF hood than to re-paint the stock hood!" ;-)

Just a quick Friday bump... We're trading in mid-next week so if you want it let me know! $26k is my bottom price including the parts and extra wheels / tires. Less than that and we might as well trade it in....

Tuesday night bump... Just ordered my R32. Yeah, I know - but it's fun, quick, and comfy and my wife is the primary driver anyway. I'm just happy it's not a SUV
