Alright guys I hate to do this to my baby but the time has finally come I am selling my 2006 Evo IX SE Tarmac Black. This car has 26,000 miles on it. This car has had almost everything you can think of done to it and never driven. I am the second owner of this car and ever since I have owned it I personally have put around 700 miles on it, if that even. Before I bought this car I got it checked out at South Coast Mitsubishi (where the original owner bough the car), to see if there were any problems with it and it was clean as a whistle. Well enough with that lets talk about the mods, First off let me say all the work on this car has been done by either South Coast Mitsubishi or Road Race Engineering. I know the Service Manager at South Coast and he knows what he is doing, and I also know the Owner of Road Race and he has been working with Evo's for over 20 years. Now with the mods,

I have the basic build up mods such as:

Cosworth cams 272,
RRE Manual boost controller,
Walbro 255 fuel pump,
APR head studs,
Road Race stealth Exhaust 3 Inch piping,
Buschur Racing 3 Inch Downpipe,
Denso fuel injectors 720cc.

Now for the big boy mods:

Two Defi-Link BF Amber Gauges 1.) Boost 2.) EGT
Defi Controll Unit II
AEM EMS With All Connections,
Buschur racing HTA GT35R Turbo Kit With Tubular Race Manifold Powder coated Black, open waste gate(Also Includes any other Buschar Hardware to Complete Kit)
Buschur Race 4 Inch Intercooler Front Mount,
Buschur Race upper + lower Intercooler Piping
Buschur Mini Battery kit.

For the exterior/Interior cosmetics:

APR front Lip,
JDM Head Lights,
JDM Tail Lights,
JDM Rear Bumper,
Ralli-Art Race Mirrors,
Stance Coilovers,
Keys Racing Steering Wheel 320MM,
Powder Coated Black Stock BBS wheels with NTO1 tires on them.
All Windows Tinted Limo All The Way Around And A Very Light Shade On Windshield To Keep Heat Out.

This car is tuned for two maps right now one map is for 100 octane only, when you feel like Hitting the drag strip and the other is for 91 octane only when you feel like just driving around town. On the 100 octane map the car runs 554whp.

As I said this car has basically everything you need to destroy your competition in looks and power. This car is still under factory warranty. No accidents, very clean, always garage kept, washed and waxed weekly by professional I didn't even trust myself with that. All maintenance has been done on this car and on time and once again either by South Coast Mitsubishi or Road Race Engineering. You will not believe how clean this car has been kept till you see it for yourself, words can't explain it.

I personally don't know how you guys can put some much money/work into these cars and then turn around and sell them a few months later.

Unfortunately in this world, mods do not increase the value of the car

 

The guy i know at the Mitsubishi dealership has yet to let me down when i needed work done on my car. So ya its still under warranty for me, and who ever buys my car he will do the same for them.

damn $38k...you'll be lucky to get mid $20's in this market. Denial is a powerful force I guess. I suggest parting out the expensive goodies to recuperate some of your losses

 

In this case, an educated consumer is your worst customer...pricing your car at that level on this forum may yield few buyers as they have currently have ~50 Evo's "for sale" here to compare it to.

One thing to consider is to sell it locally (word of mouth) or on autotrader. Sometimes a mechanic or a friend at the dealership can help you sell a car such as yours.

Most people on this forum are very astute at recognizing a well-priced Evo.
