FS: 609whp 2006 Evo IX

****SOLD THE SHEP TRANS. CAR NOW COMES WITH A MINT CONDITION STOCK EVO IX TRANSMISSION. I ALSO SWAPPED IN AN EXEDY TWIN DISC CLUTCH FOR EASE OF DRIVING. PRICE IS $35,950 NOW!!!!*******

The time has come to move on something new. I've completed everything I dreamt of with this project. In the beginning, I wanted an all around beast...something that could be daily driven, taken to the road course, auto crossed, driven to and from the drag strip while running 10s, still be reliable, and be a sharp car while doing those things. I believe I have accomplished everything I set out to do. The 2.3L Crower/Wiseco HD engine has 9.0:1 compression and makes over 600whp yet has great manners. What more could I ask for?

I purchased this car in November of 2007 and immediately went to work. 1.5 years later I had completed what you now see. The modification list is extensive and expensive. No cost was spared and no corners were cut. 10 months of labor and over $30,000 was invested into this build. There are 625 miles on the car since the build was completed.

The mod list is extensive so I will let it speak for itself...

Total $31,435

As stated, over $30k was invested in this build NOT including labor, machine work, or tuning. This figure also does not represent the down time involved!

The Evo was recently tuned to 609whp and 525 ft/lbs of torque on a failing wastegate spring (35psi peak @5500 rpm falling to 25psi by redline) on C16. I've since resolved the issue by putting a secondary spring in but have not taken it back to the dyno as of yet. We estimate it to make north of 675 now...this is an estimate. The car also made 520whp on 93 pump gas (no meth) several weeks prior. The Evo has gone 11.19@128 on the stock block and 500whp on pump gas. I'd expect this setup to go 10.50s on pump and possibly crack 9s with race gas and a good driver.

The car is EASILY drivable on a daily basis. The engine is as smooth as glass while cruising. You'd never know there's 600whp+ waiting to be unleashed. The clutch is a bit loud as are most twin discs, but you get used to it. I can swap this out at wholesale pricing if you can't handle it. The pump is also a bit loud as it's external...if I get my asking price, I can swap in a quiet Weldon at my cost if you're interested.

Flaws:

The car has a clean title and has never been in an accident. As for flaws, they are minimal. There are two dings in the paint (driver's door, and passenger's quarter panel) both of which I will have repaired by Paintless Dent Removal. Also, the front bumper and hood have several chips as you'd imagine a 35k mile car would. The interior is flawless.

An extensive detail was just completed on the paint. 20+ hours were spent correcting and swirls/scratches. It is literally a mirror now.

Cost:

Based on KBB private party value of $23,510, my $31k+ mod investment, a lowball of 100 hours of labor ($7500), it would cost in excess of $62,000 plus a long down time to replicate this vehicle.

Asking price is $37,950 OBO or $35,950 with a stock Evo IX trans. I'd say that's MORE than fair. No lowball offers. No tire kickers. Inquire if you are SERIOUS about purchasing the vehicle. No test drives. If you are serious, a test drive will be given (by me) with a refundable $1000 deposit.

I'm in no hurry to sell the car, nor do I NEED to sell the car. If I don't get an offer I feel is reasonable, I'll just keep it.

Thanks...I'm not expecting a quick sale honestly. Luckily, I'm not in a position to have to sell it.
