2003 Silver VIII Priced to sell Wisconsin
SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD
Well the time has come to move on. I've had the car for 14 months, drove it very little. Ready to move on to something different. I'm a very upfront and honest guy, I will disclose as much info on the car as I honestly know.
I was going to trade the car in this past Saturday for an 06 IX GSR but after thinking it over more I was just not that into the GSR, and I backed out of the deal. (the lack of HID's and no moonroof was the real kicker for me)
Just shy of 60k miles now.
Cosmetically this car is not perfect, it has a few scratches, a few dings. There is also a crack in the front bumper about 1" long or so. It looks like a 6 year old EVO would. Mechanically this car is superb. So if you're looking for a show car, look else where, but if you're looking for a car that is ready to hit up the streets or track and have fun, this may be the car for you. The car has been mostly stock it's entire life. Only a few bolt ons, stock 8 turbo with no in/out shaft play, no CEL's.
Car has:
new front rotors
new brake pads
ATE Super Blue Racing Brake Fluid
new 6 puck ACT clutch
new ACT 10 lb flywheel
rebuilt transmission (shifts better than new no issues)
new ps pump
Lowered on Tein springs
3" turbo back exhaust
AEM cold air intake
reflashed ecu with dual map tunes through IC sprayer switch
60k service was already done (new timing belt, tensioner, balace belts and pullies,)
Front strut tower bar
Carbon fiber exhaust heat shield on rea bumper
Energy Suspension rear differential carrier bushings
Aluminum "rally" pedals and dead pedal
brand new OEM EVOLUTION VIII floor mats
doors are sound deadened for front speakers. OEM CD player and Infinity speakers.
Has the SSL upgraded leather Recaro seats
short throw shifter
UK "EVOLUTION VIII" rear badging
New battery
Blacked out HID headlights.
Transfer case was inspected, reshimmed OEM front LSD installed, and the M10 bolt upgrade was done. ($1000 upgrade over stock!)
Manual boost controller
tinted windows
keyless entry
Never curbed VIII wheels
New serpentine belt
Vortex Generator (body color paint matched
Im sure there is more but this is what came to mind at the time.
I would rate the interior a 9 out of 10. I'm a non smoker, no rips, burns, stains. Few minor scuffs on some plastic parts where you might bump with your shoes and such.
Title states "actual mileage"
Car was stored in the garage the whole time I've had it, no winter, no rust on the car. Drives straight down the road, Moble 1 oil, Diaqueen fluid in tc and rear diff, Redline in tranny. Does not need any mechanical work ready to drive home.
Located in central Wi (Wisconsin Rapids, WI to be exact.) Ready for test drive. There is a lean on the title right now but the bank is located 5 minutes from where I live and has extended hours to make it easier to walk in and deal with the bank to take care of the lean. After talking to my bank more today ( 12/11/09) I think the best method would be a wire transfer/cash, just to keep things safe and not cause any delay in clearing the funds. I have no problem putting you in touch before hand with my bank if there are any questions about how to go about the transaction. The car does not leave my garage until funds are clear.
Deposit or funds in full are required, or come first buy.
I will be willing to pick up at either local air port, Appleton, WI (,ATW). or Mosinee , WI (CWA), both of which are under 2 hours away from me. Shipping can also be arranged at the buyers expense.
I will post up more pics tonight of the interior, under the hood, and any defects on the car.
For more pics click on the link here....Please make note that the interior pics in the link below were taken at night with poor lighting and the flash on the camera gives off a funny white hue in the pics. http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-2/650478/0
Here are a few more pics of random things.
Pic of the TC big bolt upgrade in process. You can see the massive difference between the stock bolt and the upgraded bolts.
The clutch that went in the car
Picture of the OEM LSD that was installed.. (shown next to a stock open diff for comparison)
A few people were asking about the compression. I just went out and did a compression check (12/4/09) and here is what I got.
#1= 155 psi
#2= 150 psi
#3= 155 psi
#4= 150
Like I said it's a strong running motor, no issues.
$13,700 is the price. So it's already priced to sell. I'm not hurting for money so please don't low ball me, save that for the guys who want $17,000 for an 03 EVO. Mine is priced well below BB.
