Things are only worth what people are willing to pay for an item. Obviously it isn't worth 10k because nobody is jumping on it. To you it might but to the majority of people it isn't. I went through this same thing with my 2G. I ended up parting it out and sending it to the scrap yard. I ended up making what I wanted for the car by parting it out.
GL with the sale though. Hopefully someone scoops it and keeps it nice.

I disagree. I see a cars worth from what its got in it. the car is worth 15k from what its got into. Obviously i cant get all my money back.
Its not that people dont think its worth it really, its that you cant get a loan for 10k on a 92 talon. Believe me, if you could still get a loan for this car, it would have been sold a long time ago. I will not part the car out and send the body to the scrap yard. I realize parting the car out gets most of your money that you want out of it, but i wont do it.
Its either it sells outright, gets traded, or I will keep wrenching on it. Im really only throwing this out there as a last call. If it doesnt sell by the time I pick up a tacoma, I will comtinue to work my magic with the car!

Trust me as a DSMer I think the car is worth it but to banks and most DSMers it isn't. I know a buddy of mine sold his recently for less than half of that. It wasn't as clean but it was on big boost and a decent size turbo making really good power. Yours is a lot cleaner but it is still almost 20 years old. Tough to find a buyer for something like that especially in this economy. If I hit the power ball I'll hit ya up though and scoop to turn it into an auto.
Hopefully you keep it and maintain it like you have. There aren't many gems out there, thats for sure.

Yea, i have had some pms regarding buying the car outright. Which really surprises me. I guess there are more evo guys that respect a clean dsm, than I had thought. Havnt had any serious inquiries though.
Every time I decide to try and sell the car, I get so many compliments that it makes me change my mind.
My main reason for letting it go, is its not meeting my goals. My ultimate goal is a 500hp car that is capable of being a comfortable daily. Its very hard to have a 500hp dsm that you could comfortably daily. I mean, with a/c, p/s all that jazz. Im sure it can be done, but its just far more easier with an evo.

keep the car man, I sold my 06 evo and regretted it almost everyday for 2 yrs. I sold my Vette and got a rare Evo 8 and Im in love with it.
Your car is way more rare than my evo, and is very well put together. I think you will regret it if you sell it.
just my .02$
