WTB: Evo for around 12-13k (ww/eb is a plus)
Here's the deal guys, i am not picky about it, i am looking for a Evo 12-13k cash in hand. Basic details such as no engine problems and a decent body. I live in Chicago, IL but i am willing to travel to pick it up (6 hours away at max).

they go 11-13k all day long you just need to look carefully (considering the actualy price actually aways goes down). everyday there is new cars on ebay craigslist car.com n sites like that. you just need to look more carefully. a bunch of people already pmed me offering me evos. but i am still looking tryin to find the bast car and offer.

I agree. And I have 2 things to add:
1) I would like to hear from someone on here that they themselves bought an Evo viii for 13k or less that did not find it had some problems (or salvage title). Not "a friend of a friend" or "my buddy's cousin's boyfriend's brother" etc.
and
2) Last weekend took ours to a local dealer to try and get an idea how much our 04 Evo Viii is worth (looking to sell shortly). They offered me $13,545 for it, not trade, just buy it out right from me. So that tells me its worth more than $13,545, no dealer will lose money on anything bought or sold.
Just my 2 cents.

I have. Clean title, 90K, definitely less than 13k & this was 2 years ago. needed a clutch and other minor things. Rare find, but they are out there. I'm sure others have found such deals, but they keep them to themselves because its easy to research people on the net and find out what you did to a car and what you paid for it when you give out that information.

Exactly...your car is worth just over $13K which is what the OP is looking (approximately) pay. People don't want to pay "dealer" prices from a private party; rather they are looking to pay what the car's value is worth at a near wholesale level.
If a buyer has patience they can find what they are looking for, as some people "have" to sell their cars due to unfortunate situations
