2006 evo ix mr $9500 obo
Well, the time has come for me to part with my 2006 EVO IX MR. This has been the best car I've ever owned. I know I will miss it when it's gone, but I am heading overseas soon and need to clear some space in the garage. I bought the car used from the only other owner with 176k miles. The previous owner did a lot of highway driving to and from work, over 300 miles per day for 9 months for example, and I have lived no closer than 20 miles to work myself. A bulk of the miles is all highway driving, and the car has 219605 on the clock. The car has been meticulously taken care of. ALL Maintenance, and scheduled service items have been done ON TIME, OR EARLY according to the factory service manual.
Asking Price $9500 OBO (Can sweeten the deal with a brand new built head, specs available on request)
Clean Title, no accidents, matching VINs except the back bumper obviously
I am not parting out the car... So don't ask for parts
Car is located in El Paso, TX
Text me for any extra info or pics 480-227-3420
The good:
The car is in excellent shape exterior and interior wise. People that see the car can not believe it has so many miles on it. The car drives like a dream. It is still on the original 6 speed and I have not had any issues with the transmission at all. A majority of the bolt on work and maintenance was completed by myself. All engine work was done by a certified mechanic or at a shop.
The bad: (The car does not run currently)
***Bad compression in cylinder one. The car jumped time and when we were re-timing it we must have bent a valve because you can hear it leaking air when doing the compression test. I do have an extra head laying around that I can sweeten the deal with if you decide to buy the car. The new head is a new, fully built, and ported head (specs available upon request).
-The block was noted to be showing some wear, which is pretty standard for a stock block at 219k miles. It will probably need a rebuild soon.
-Straight pipe does not have mounting brackets. The car previously had an HKS Ti exhaust and when I sold the exhaust I sold the brackets....which were also needed for the straight pipe.
-High miles. I know the miles will scare you but let me assure you that the car has been meticulously maintained. She was my baby and I never planned on selling her. However, with my job, I just don’t have time to giver her the care she deserves.
Maintenance History:
Oil changed every 5000 miles (or less) with AMSOIL Sig Series 10W-30 All drivetrain fluids were replaced every 15-25k miles (or sooner) with AMSOIL by myself.
PCV valve and valve hose replaced at 120k miles (preventative maintenance)
Throttle body was pulled/cleaned at 120k miles, and again at 150k miles when the shaft seals were installed.
Transmission and transfer case o-rings, and main seals were replaced at 120k miles
The car just recently had it's 60k mile service done at 214k miles which includes water pump, pulleys, belts, and tensioner. This included the all gaskets in the head.
Mods: This list is not all inclusive. I tried to remember everything but if you have questions just ask. I have a log book with how many miles are on every mod or service I have performed.

I wish I'd never sold that car in the first place lol It was the best car I've ever owned too. I can vouch for all of the maintenance, and preventative maintenance done for the first 180k miles or so because I did it all, or had it done by KevinD at Evolution Dynamics. The interior and exterior are in great shape because I money at the body shop keeping it that way. Any little nicks, or scratches were immediately taken care of. I accumulated a lot of rock chips with all of that highway driving for those 9 months, so when that was all done, the care got a complete front end repaint, and then another a few months before I sold it. Jason's taken excellent care of the car, and I'm sure the next buyer will also love it as much as we did.

OK so I here are some things I can answer ahead of time since most of you seem to be asking the same things.
-Yes, it has a clean title, never been in any accidents
-The roof was painted black to match the CF hood and trunk it used to have
-Yes, all VINs match
-No, I cannot fix the car before I sell it, I do not have the time
-I have all parts of the AC except the piping and the pump
-I was gearing the car up for a big engine build which is why I have a fully ported and built head. I am willing to sell the new head with the car, as well as any and all other components in my garage but obviously for more money. These include a Walboro 450, timing tools, gaskets, fluids, plugs, air filter, the OEM cams and springs, extra radiator, etc etc
-The specs on the head are as follows:
Map Stg 3 port
Kiggly hla
Super tech +1mm intake and exhaust valves,
Gsc r2 cams
Gsc shorty valve guides
Gsc zero tick lifters
5angle valve job
Modded mivec gear for 4g64 install. Give +6* of mivec timing
New mivec cam sensor
Two thermostats, one for racing the other for normal driving
H11 studs
-I will not sell the head separate until the car is sold and no I will not part out the head or any portion of the car!
-This includes my JDM bumper haha
Hope this information helps. If you have any other questions feel free to PM me.
Merry Christmas to everyone!
