Evo X TOMEI CAMS brand new in box (IL)
Bought a month ago and decided to leave the car as is without installing any cams.
Ive done a lot of research before choosing Tomei. These cams came out only in the beginning of this year after long development process by tomei.
I got them because I was keeping stock turbo and just porting/polishing it. I use the car as a daily and autoX on the weekends, maybe will squeeze some track time as well. It was important to me to get more power along the whole band without loosing the low end power. This is the reason why i went with these cams. They are designed for quick response and torque power. if your goals are similar as mine, you want to increase overall power without losing out on spool, low end- then these are for you
Intake Duration: 260, 10.3mm
Exhaust Duration: 250, 9.80mm
these are brand new, never opened or taken out of the box. I only opened one box for pix, but the plastic cover is still untouched.
price is $520 picked up in Chicago or +shipping. Locals will get priority on this PRICE DROP- $500 +FREE SHIPPING!!

This might be a noob question but how beneficial is it to me if I have nothing but bolt-ons for stock turbo. Setup is AMS UICP,intake, Test pipe, Greddy SE, APS BOV, stage 2 OTS cobb tune. With the CAMS installed I definitely need a custom tune but how much a difference in power and smoothness will these CAMS give.

^this is false.
actually with these cams like i said, I had only bolt-ons and was not planning on upgrating my stock turbo. You should think about just port and polish on yours and it will be sufficient to give faster spool. As far as adding cams, these are perfect for stock turbo setup because they arent gonna be an overkill but will be just the right combo for stock turbo. by combining quicker spool and increase in overall power with cams, it will allow you to get power without loosing out on spool and low end like you would with a bigger turbo.
my mods now are exedy twin, full turbo back, port/polish, LICP UICP. . . i was gonna install the cams as well because i wanted more power overall. but now im broke and stopping with mods for a while because the car is fast enough for what im doing.

this really depends on what your goals are. if you are building a drag queen then i suggest going with big injectors, turbo and bigger cams. this setup will spool slower but give you crazy power at redline.
do i shift at redline daily? no... i drive my car mostly on the low end on the power band so thats the reason why i got them. wanted to keep the quick response and low end power for daily driving and autoxing... i dont drag my car so it is not a priority to me to slap a big turbo on and big cams and wait till the whole setup starts spooling. i kept the stock turbo, ported it and now it spools even faster, adding cams to it would make for a great setup thats fun to drive on everyday basis.

MX1s are a little bigger:
MIVEC Intake "266" deg. 10.8mm
Exhaust "266" deg. 10.4mm lift
just find dyno and compare the tomei graph to bc thats the only way you can see what those specs mean. ive seen two broken cosworth cams, so personally i dont trust their quality. tomei is a pure japanese product, they take time developing. im biast bc i love these, i think they are great, but i just dont think i have to have them at this point im slowing down on mods..
