Gb: 4g94 Ripp Sds $3900
Hey guys, just wanted to let you know of a group buy for RIPP's Lancer SDS kit (formerly stage2, but is now the only stage they offer).
You can find kit info here: http://rippmods.com/products/product...&productId=160
The retail price is $4200, but if you get 5 people on board, RIPP would drop the price to $3900.
This is for auto's and manuals. With this kit I made 194whp on my auto here. Manuals are making 230whp here.
This kit isn't just about power, its about reliability, drivability and safety. No worrying about blowing up or overboosting, as both are next to impossible on RIPP's setup (assuming everything is installed properly).
At this price, this kit is less expensive than other stage1 turbo kits that are making less power. If you have any questions, feel free to ask away. Thanks

You'd have to call up ripp for install quotes, but figure $800 to $1000 for install.
supporting mods, your on your own for that, but what did you have in mind? you need aftermarket headers just like any FI kit, but you can choose which ones you want. on top of that, you need some gauges (boost, a/f or egt, oil pressure). but thats all you really need

welll, RIPP sells gauges themselves (autometer ones), so you can pick them up there or pretty much any car store online sells gauges, so look around for the cheapest one. prices vary by brand and where you buy it.
bored IM, tb, and fuel rail are not necessary, so i'd say hold off on those and maybe pick them up after the kit. frankly, i have all of those and the gains are OK, but probably not worth what i spent on them. if you do any non-necessary supporting mods, i'd say a good suspension setup, front motor mount and ported 4g93 manifold would be at the top of my list

i doubt we would be able to get 5 people before then, so no worries. Also, remember guys, RIPP does the whole layaway thing, so you can have them hold onto your money if you suck at saving (this really does help, trust me)

i can give ya a few more: how does 230whp sound, while staying 250 to 300 miles per tank?
how about keeping the same insurance rates, while effectively more than doubling your whp?
how about being to beat or at least come close to wrx, rsx type s, etc?
now i'm just being mean

oh yeah, did I forget perfectly safe: no worries of overboosting, no excessive heat that will melt throttle cables (yes, this has happened), no worrying about exhaust leaks that kill your power or even cause overboosting
its like slapping on an elaborate intake, no up pipe/downpipe business or worrying about wastegates screwing up.
