Zeitronix Wideband Group Buy

Done. If everything works out I'm in.
I was checking out few threads on the forum and evos are reusing the stock location for the wideband o2 sensor. Once it's connected the sensor can send a narrowband signal to the ECU and not throw CEL.

according to the e-mail/post it does. the problem i see with that is a wideband sensor is best plugged into the dp about a foot from the turbo. you can use the one after the cat, but it is not as accurate. i thought you will throw a cel if you replaced one of the 02 sensors, but if it reads the same way the stocker does, i don't see why it would.
anyways, i want kit 2 with the egt gauge and a 02 bung.

That's my main concern about the o2 wideband being mounted in the cat. But at the same time on any dyno with a wideband they just stick a wideband right on the end of a muffler so why would it matter if it's in the downpipe or your cat?

yeeeeaaahhhh!!!!!! i need to tune my cuBEVo.
well looks like i need new tires and a few gallons of race gas. b/c i am going to the tune this biatch to just <12.0 afr and 22.5 psi then bust my cherry at the strip and bust my cherry at gingerman for my first auto-x event.
the 02 sensor IS in front of the cat. i am by no means an expert, but wouldn't there be a large difference in temps between the 02 housing/dp/in front of cat? thus making the air more dense as it travels along. thereby allowing more air in a given space with the same amount of fuel and leaning the reading out as you go down the line. if that is true, then u definately don't want to use the o2 housing as it is surrounded by the exhaust side of the turbo(hot), the exhaust manifild(hot), the exhaust gases(hot), the engine(hot), etc..you get the point. if all of this is true then the o2 housing sensor would read the richest, the dp would be in the middle, and the cat the leanest. my $.02.

From all the info I got stock o2 housing will be fine as far as reading the AF ratio but the lifespan of the o2 sensor will be shorter.
I guess I will just have to wait to get my exhaust manifold. Hopefully xtian will help me with that.

you should only notice a leaning out of your AFR farther down the line if you have a leak that is letting outside air in. Your theory is sound for EGTs which do decrease that farther from the engine you go. I don't recall any documentaion that indicates distance from the ehaust ports.
