since he has not replied to this thread in forever!... i was thinking of asking a local guy to fab this thing using the pictures to get an idea... how many of you guys would be interested in getting one? i want one, and i want to keep the cost low so we all can enjoy the item.
im thinking of using a lighter metal then steal, but steal is ok if its cheaper, maybe the people who wants to pay more can get the lighter version.
anyways, can everyone post a price of that the bar should be? im thinking aroung 250.

Hey guys. I was under the impression this thread was updated, my apologies for not keeping you all posted.
The bar has been sold, shipped, delivered. I had an issue with the original buyer which was fortunately worked out.

Sorry guys but I have to add my .02 here. That bar is only good for a license plate fix. No way with those spot welds will it protect anything. I also highly doubt an insurance company will accept the fact that you tampered with the factory crash beam and installed an aftermarket bar. There are no tests done to support it. That bar will buckle when a 3000# car hits it just as if it wasn't there. Just trying to look out for you guys. Look at these welds in the pic and you'll see what I'm trying to get at. It also doesn't have any solid support. Not trying to be a party pooper, just don't want you guys to have a false sense of protection both physically and from the insurance adjuster.
