If it comes down to shipping (which would still be a good deal since it's painted, reputable shops will charge $250-450 just to paint this thing), then please use a pallet.

I shipped a trunk with GOOD packaging but no pallet, let's just say insurance I paid for got involved and they wouldn't cover any of the damages. The insurance is subject to extremely picky packaging inspection and they expect you to package it as if it were going to be dropped from 12ft onto concrete.
