SOLD!

Up for sale is AMS front cross member that is considerably lighter than your OEM cross member, just as strong and comes with their hard front mount built in. It's a nice piece and while this one is used, it has less than 2500 street miles and is in great shape.

I planned on using it myself but went a different route. Knowing how critical it is to save weight in the front end of the car I decided to use a nice piece of green bamboo, instead. Light and stiff it's a suitable replacement, though I continue to struggle with the motor mount bolts and random Panda lumbering after the car.

Anyway, the AMS front cross member retails for $275 and I'm offering this one up for $Sold plus PP fee and shipping. Even if you have their mount in place you want this to save the weight, just sell the mount or keep it as a spare.

Here's a pic which show the piece, which comes with the hardware.

Here's a link to the AMS site with more information about the piece.

Here's a picture of a Panda working on my first racing cross member

Of the Bamboo? Not yet...

Of the AMS Bar, no, I never put it in. But I'm sure there are some out there. It's a pretty easy bolt in affair.

See, now that's good thinking. Attaching the motor mount with gum and black electrical tape isn't working so I need to sort out a better solution there. I'm considering glue or double sided carpet tape and will let you know.
