FS: Evo VIII Drag Brake setup
Hey all,
Some of you may know, or may not know. I've been in the process of building my evo for the last few years for drag. It has been an on going project that I went to far into (05 MR with only 16k miles on it), so I never got to enjoy it. I've made some changes recently to the car to finally after 2 years, get an inspection sticker. In the process of the build I purchased from Adam at Z1 a set of brand new Evo 7 RS brakes (smaller rotors/calipers to fit some 15 and 16 inch rims.
I put these on the evo after I paint matched them to the brembo rears and test fit a 16" rota slipstream no problem. Problem is, I never got to drive around because the car had no inspection and never was done. So I've now gone a different route to be able to drive the car and have no need for the brakes. The car made it to the inspection station about 5 miles to and from my house but other then that the brakes have no other miles on them. I do not have a lot of pictures of this because the weather is bad and the fact that the car sitting makes the tires and brakes look rough. I will clean them up upon shipping and have a few people who can vouch for me if needed (FerraroKid, Adam at Z1).
Picture of what the brakes look like not painted/what it comes with (Brackets, Brake pads, calipers, rotors bolts):
After I painted them and put it on (Again the weather is bad and the car is sitting (oxidation on the rotors and calipers are dirty but I just got the inspection the other day so they clearly work fine.) As you can tell, due to me not taking the tires off I now get to waste money on new tires to replace the dry rotting ones.
Also this picture is with an 18" rim on it, but can't find my picture with the 16".
1/2 - 3/4 of Brake fluid I will ship with so you can have the complete install:
The brakes retail for 800 + depending on location about $65+ for shipping.
I would like to sell these for $800 shipped OBO
But will include the brake fluid and also the stainless brake line kit to make this a complete bolt on. (Close to an additional 150 for the lines and fluid). Also if I can find the caliper paint remaining I will send that as well so that if any chips occur you can touch it up with the same brembo color.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
