as you tighten it into the car, the small washer will sit down into the belt connector.and youll wind up with the bolt head flush against the belt thing. it doesnt seem obvious, but it will work.

that part i understand, the small washer fits perfectly - i'm talking about what's going on behind the seatbelt assembly, where the smooth portion of the bolt sticks out - i guess its a non issue? no one seems to have a response for it

im still not quite sure what your referring too. the bolt is the right length once you put the large spacer in the mix too.

between the seatbelt assembly and the flange - is there supposed to be a space - because the smooth portion of the bolt prevents it

no i dont believe there should be any space. the rotation of the seat belt happens on the small washer as far as i can tell.

right - so my point is, by my picture, you can see the smooth portion clears the seatbelt assembly - even with the small washer in and all the way on, that smooth portion should still clear the assembly, since it doesn't lengthen the portion the bolt is in the assembly - and the flange cannot clear the smooth portion, so:

FYI -

the filing down WAS very easy - and the quick release pins do fit through now. it's amazing how that little amount of powdercoat was completely preventing the pins from going through.

waiting for buschur to get in harnesses before i wrap up the install - now that i know how everything goes i shouldn't have any other difficulties with the install (keeping fingers crossed)

I'd love to read more on the chassis stiffening aspect, but it doesn't look like we can really get any opinions from impartial sources.

received my harness!! too lazy to take a picture, its pretty much exactly the same as in the picture except my button is on the left side instead of on top of the locking unit (also has an empty slot on bottom) - but one noob question - i know the bottom left goes into the harness bar

like here, but where does the right side go?

:i:installed the flanges, ready to install the bar and lower portion as well, once i figure out where the right side goes

did anyone else find that the provided larger washers for the harness bar flange up top made the width too narrow for the harness bar?

bump for this - visited several hardware stores looking for a washer/spacer with the same OD and ID as the provided large bushing with no such luck - any ideas?

That small thin washer should NOT be re-used.
