Custom Valved JIC FLT-A2's (~8K miles)
I have a set of JIC FLT-A2's. Custom valved by Kyle at Hot Lap Motorsports for NE road course application. I bought them from 4cdndctn in 2011 with about 6k mi on them (he tracked them for 3 years). I put on about another 2-3K in 2011 and then took them off at end of season (decided to no longer track the car and didn't want to use them up for street use).
Before I installed my setup, I bought an extra set of springs. They came with 10Kfront/14K rear. I wanted a less bouncy ride for street so I got a set of 9K springs and used a 9/10K (or 8/10K - can't remember) setup. Mid-season I bought a set of rubber strut mounts for the rear as the solid ones made too much noise for the street for my liking.
Original owner never used them in winter, neither did I. They could use some cleaning but I figured a dirty part tells you how little they were used - note that I originally applied anti-seize on the threads to prevent corrosion, that is why they look so dull on the threads.
They're very good, fast CO's. In 02-05 many of the national champions used them before greater adjustability was allowed without points being docked. The JICs aren't the prettiest or most sophisticated CO out there, but they're fast! They jsut work so well.
I'm selling them cheap especially given the extra springs and rear top mounts (over $200 value), and you won't have to put a dime into them - just bolt them to the car, get them adjusted for height and balance and go. I really loved this setup when it was on the car.
