Where are you located?

Any advance auto can get them, go ask for them to order a specialty part # 6001 in their SPX/Miller tools directory.

you can make one, all you need is a threaded rod made of tool steel ( i used grade 5, but grade 7 would be better), it's extremely hard so it won't crack off in the tensioner. Then you back two nuts against each other on the end of the rod so you can use a socket wrench to turn the whole thing. I did this when i installed my cams, and it worked perfectly. although i can't remember the thread pitch, maybe someone can help me out here...

Where do I get threaded rod made of tool steel? I found the pitch 8mm x 1.25

I went to a few different hardware stores and all I could find was standard size, and it looked like weak stuff.

Dose Home Deopt have it?

I got the tool from Mac Tools for about $12.00 just call the 1-800 number on their web site and give them the part number above, also give your self 10 days for shipping or spend a extra 20 for two day shipping.

Can anyone tell me how long the all thread needs to be. I'm gonna save my money and install my cams myself.
