to make a long story short, i was installing my hks evc this weekend and by accident i broke one of the nipples of of the stepping motor and i need a new one. I called HKS and they said im basically out of luck and i would need to buy a whole kit if i wanted the stepping motor by itself. I dug around the hks faq and lo and behold i found a page that says the stepping motor is available seperatley, part number 21207-042100. Any vendors or anyone can get this for me?

good luck. My stepper went out and i sent it to HKS for repair. They told me i had to buy a new one. They said to buy the EVC-EZ and use my LCD with it. Pissed me off. I was willing to buy it but they refused. $599 for an EVC-5 that lasted 9 months. What a POS......RRR

 

yeah i was hoping it wouldnt come to that, but i dont think i have any other options...just the luck i have i guess...

 

found a cheap hks evc iv for sale...will the stepping motor from the iv work with my evc v control box and display? the stepping motors look different between the iv and v, anyone try this?
