You can use a VIII block with an IX . You have to tap an oil passage for mivec, but It can be done. I bought some parts off a guy in Ohio with a gg IX that put a evo 8 block in because he could not find a reasonably priced IX block. If you can put a IX head on a 4G64 BLock with only a few modifications, you can also use an evo 8 block. Why don't you use a 4G64 block?
