Ruined set of VOlks thats why.

Powdercoating Ruins an already excellent set of FORGED wheels.
Now they have lost more than Half thier Strength.

They look good...but damn why VOLKS maybe ADR.....Should have just painted them.

Where's the pic at?

I was actually thinking of powdercoating my CE's. If you do low temp it won't weaken them. I just had my stock wheels powdercoated after failing miserably to paint them. They looked like crap.

depends on how the original paint was removed. If they were acid dipped, the process can weaken the structure.

I believe the wheels get weakened if the powdercoater doesn't have a good thermostat to controll the temp and they get too hot. They shouldn't get any higher than 400F.

If you do low temp powdercoating it shouldn't have any affects on the wheels. I just had my stock done and he baked them somewhere in the 300-350 range. He's done many wheels and hasnt' had any fail using the low temp.
