(2) Mitsubishi Evo 8 Advan Yokohama Tires 235/45/R17

For sale is one pair (two) of OEM Advans for the Evo. Maybe 50% tread left. One of them has a gouge in the inner edge of the bead. II do not know if the gouge affects its safety or usability; please show the attached photo to your local mechanic if you want to know, because I have no idea. These came off my friend's Evo VIII. SOLD AS IS. 235/45/R17 $150 OBO. No, make that $100 shipped. Will ship. I am flexible on price for I have no idea how much these are really worth. Shoot me some offers. I just want them out of the garage. My loss is your gain. Thanks.

I was looking at them today and noticed something I didn't catch earlier. There seems to be a nail or of some sort in the wheel with the gouge.

All sales are final.

That rip around the inside of the tire is caused by someone trying to mount the tires on a wheel without using the lube (I know, I know) that is on the mounting/demounting machine. I know because I've accidentally done myself. It should be ok as long as the tear doesn't go up to the sidewall. Does that nail go all the way through the tire?

I'm thinking that the rip wouldn't be good for us who autocross. The $120 shipped sounds good to me and I'll even take the tire with the rip and give it a shot on the course. Set them aside until the end of this week. Thanks.

I believe the one with the nail in it goes all the way through.

I don't know much about these wheels for I got them from a friend that used to own an Evo.

bigben, thanks for the explanation. That could possibly be the reason why it's there. Never got around to asking my buddy about how/why it was there.

Sale is pending for both.

I'll let you guys know though.
