IL: FS/FT: 18" Volk TE-37 + Bridgestone RE-01R track/drag/street setup

Item: Satin Black Volk TE-37 Wheels + Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R Tires

18x8.5 +30 TE-37 & 255/35/18 RE-01R

Location: St. Charles, IL - ~35 miles due west of Chicago

I am putting up my wheel and tire combo for trade or for sale. They are in excellent condition and there is no 'story' behind them. No crashes, no spin-offs, no burnouts and NO CURB RASH. Less then 5k miles and less than 25 minutes of track time. I actually love this combo, but due to other aesthetic additions to my car, black wheels no longer do it justice and instead of doing all the work for a powdercoat, I might just switch up the combo. I am also considering the switch back to 17" wheels so that I can replace tires cheaper and enjoy more track time this year.

Why this is a great combo;

Track: Extremely light combination helps lower rotational mass which in turn helps with the agility of the car. For the road course this compound provides incredible ultimate grip and consistency. The extra .5" over stock on width gives the perfect size wheel to fit the perfect sized tires.

Street: Not outrageously stiff sidewall (unlike Z1 and RE050 Poles) and excellent casting technology provides an incredibly smooth and quiet ride for the street. Tread pattern is also very aggressive looking.

Drag: This combo is also great for drag. The sidewall and compound of the tires provides excellent grip for the drag strip, easily posting down low 1.6 60' times in my street driven Evo. In warm weather from a roll these stick completely in every gear with over 430whp. Also, the lower rotational mass is easier for the motor to spin than the stock wheel and tire combo

Weight: THESE WHEELS WEIGH ONLY 16lbs PER WHEEL! One of the lightest 18" wheels you can buy!

Fitment: One of the best parts about this setup is that it allows you to fit a 255 wide tire in stock unmodified fenders with no spacers and no rubbing whatsoever.

Resale: Volk wheels has the reputation that allows them to hold a solid resale value throughout the years.

__________________________________________________ _______________

Price:

The retail of this combo is ($3450 wheels) + ($276x4=$1104 tires) = $4500+

I am looking for $2500 picked up or $2700 shipped.

Trade: Open to any reasonable trade or interesting offers. If they are wheels, they must be between 8.5-9.5 inches and +20-35 offset. If the value is much lower than my set, cash can be added to compensate.

The wheels have been decontaminated, polished and waxed and the tires have been treated as well before storage. They are all individually sealed in bags inside of my heated garage.

The wheels currently have no Volk stickers, but I am including a set in any (even custom) color that the buyer would like at my cost.

Did you peel the Volk stickers off the spokes? Seems you can barely see where they used to be?

I'd entertain any reasonable offer.

The wheels were specially treated to allow a "ghosting" of the Volk logo. I tested the coating just recently and found that it would resist just about anything, But after polishing I found that only two of the wheels had a bulletproof ghosting due to the way they were heat treated. You would never notice if you didn't put your face up to the wheel but when they were laid out on my shop floor the lighting picks it up. To remedy the issue, I am putting the Volk stickers back on. The best idea I thought of was to wait for a customer and get the specific colored stickers that matched his/her taste at my own cost. Repeat, the wheels will come with whatever colored Volk stickers you would like .

These wheels are a great deal at this price, especially if you factor in a trade. I'd be interested in a double din headunit, UICP, wheels, tires, brake parts (pad/rotor/ducting), upgraded rear diff, etc.

If you seperate LMK. I've been looking for a single RE01R for months to replace the one I blew out. I have 3 practically new tires and no way to find a match.

That's too bad. Is that an offer for the set of tires of for one tire? If I sold you one tire I'd be in the same predicament as you.
