I would triple check if they fit with the bbk as these rims have a spoke design that fits with almost any bbk.

They are 17s and will only work with smaller BBK setups, not the ones he has. It isn't the offset it is just cause the rotor/caliper won't clear. If he had 18s he could go up to a 355mm rotor and with 17s the largest rotor you could go with is 332mm.
