FS: XEDE with latest firmware w/o SMART - PRICE LOWERED!!!
Hey Guys,
THIS HAS NOW BEEN SOLD
I have an XEDE that has been installed in my car since Feb 2004. It has been a great unit, but I want to try my hand at other engine management solution. I am in a toss up over Autronic PnP or ECU+. The unit functions great and has really made a difference in the car. I just love to tinker and I would like to see what else is out there.
Anyways........It has the latest firmware installed and comes with the EVO PNP harness. It currently has a stage 1+ map installed that has been tweaked by me.
The only visible damage to the unit is that the Chiptorque sticker has been ripped off. It was a casualty in fastening the unit by the ECU.
I am looking for $450 OBO shipped (in the US - lower 48) for the unit and I can accept payments via PayPal.
The unit is serial number 00327 XEDE V2 Revision B "M"
If you are interested please send me an E-mail to gfenton@mailshack.com
Thanks for looking
Gordon
By the way, I posted here since I was sure that there would be more people interested in this forum (Well, it seemed that it got moved from the Vishnu forum)

There is several of these out now and noone is buying. It's a good product so I'm not sure what is going on. Prices have also dropped $250 dollars in the last 6 months on used ones. Anyone know why?

I have the autronic and think it is a great set up. I have only had it on the car a week or so with no problems so far. if you can get one them do, if not look at the hydra ems from peakboost, that is where I got my turbo kit.

If you set up a XEDE as Shiv tells you there shouldn't be many problems. I don't know why people are dumping them at $500 right now. When i was looking for one in October/November everyone wanted $750.

I would think that the momentary drop in prices has more to do with peoples lack of money post-holidays rather than decreasing demand. Everybody is focusing on paying credit card bills.....just a guess.
Fact is the XEDE is an amazing engine management system that rivals most stand-alones. However, I have the "itch" to try something different. 6-months from now...I may be the one looking through the FS adds to buy another
One thing is for sure. I will keep it before I let it go for any lower. It is just too good of a system to let it go for next to nothing

XEDE still for sale
Guys,
I have had numerous requests to sell at $450. However, it is worth it to me to keep this system for that amount........just in case I decide to go back. I just thought I would post this so everyone would know. I feel that $500 is a screaming deal on this considering that it is a piggyback system that incorporates:
1. SMART option - purchased separately
2. Fuel control
3. Timing control
4. Boost control
5. No-Lift-to-shift
6. Launch control
There is just too much functionality in this unit to let it go cheaper. In fact, the other options that I am contemplating may not work as well. Therefore, I am willing to keep the unit for future use since I do NOT need the money to purchase the new system.
Thanks for looking...Gordon
