Yes it hooks up to the stock airbox. I had a Vishnu Xede on my car with this part and I had to use the stock airbox. Now the BOV is a little taller than stock so it takes a little more work to get the whole thing together and it can be a real pain with upper intercooler pipes that are not like the stock ones. I mad it all work but it took some tweaking if I remmeber correctly. So yes it will hook up to the stock airbox but keep in mind that because of the BOV piping is longer you will have to trim the silicone hose or do some tweaking like I did.
