EVO 8 Transfer Case with TRE Ralliart Helical LSD

SOLD

I have for sale a 2003 EVO 8 Transfer Case with a TRE Ralliart Helical Limited Slip in it. My car has a stock engine with an exhaust. I've never launched or drag raced the car. Not sure what happened but I think a bearing went out. The LSD seems fine as there was no noise when turning full lock to lock. A loud noise was apparent under medium to heavy throttle. Attached is a picture of the magnet, no chunks were found, just a film of fine shavings. I stoped driving the car almost immediately after the noise started. My car just had a brand new TC installed.

Selling for $500 + shipping from Southern California.

PM me.

Just to clarify, OEM transfer case with TRE Ralliart Helical LSD. 99.999% sure the LSD is not broken and a bearing went out in the TC.

Is it "loud" like a tornado siren? If so, does that make the whole TC trash? in need for a rebuild? If a "stock" TC is LOUD, it needs a rebuild of $1500+. Is that the same situation here? or don't you know. I would like to hear what LOUD sounds like.

My TC would need a rebuild, but the LSD is OK. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to PM me.

Thanks

I have to disagree as well John at TRE is one of the most helpful guys in our community. Talked to him on a few occasions about different things/recomendations. I buy my Diaqueen from TRE. Just waiting for my TC or Tranny to go so I can get it rebuilt.

TRE and Shep know their stuff both are good guys in my book.

John's a very knowledgable and nice guy. Please leave your opinions about vendors in another forum though, I'm just trying to sell something.

PMed. Even with a whining transfer case, I still drag raced my TC for a while, and still daily drive my evo til this day. I know it sounds crazy but it's my only car.
