IX block and mivec head
Ive finally decided to get rid of it. Ive had it sitting in my garage for a few months now debating if I wanted to go stroker hehe. I have a stock IX short block with #2 bearing starting to spin. The oil pump went bad and left a oil slick all over my garage, so it didnt run for long like that. Was still running pretty well actually when I shut it off and had it towed to mitsu for tear down. Instead of tearing it down they replaced the long block. So the head is in perfect condition, just missing cams and valves/valve springs. They reused those in my new head. Block has the oil pump removed, but everything else is still intact. Be great for a stroker build, no damage to rings/cylinder walls or deck. Only thing you would really have to replace is the bearings, maybe #2 rod, and machine the crank. Basically thats a normal rebuild plus one stock rod.
Will post pics tomorrow, need to take them when I get home. This is pretty much a feeler, I want to let it go but Im not going to lose my **** on it. For the right price it goes out the garage, so PM me offers. Both are boxed up and ready for shipping at the moment anyway.
There is differing posts on the boards that say the IX block and VIII block are interchangeable. Some say the oil passages are different. From what I have read, I think people have put an IX head on their VIII block along with ecu and wiring harness and it worked. So Im not sure if there are differences or not. Its up to you to do the research if you have an VIII and need a block. I think they are the same, but cant gaurantee it. Might try calling AMS later to see if they can tell me.

Heres a few pics. Apparently I havent figured out how to hold a camera steady while on the fine detail flower mode hehe. Will get some better ones tonight, took me all weekend to find my camera lol.
Also, not sure if I mentioned it, but this block had 11k miles on it when it was pulled by Mitsu. Its out of an IX MR, and United Mitsu did all the work. The pic of the shipping label is the new motor that mitsu sent to United, in case you want to check part numbers. Thats the same crate I will be shipping the motor to you in.
