FS: Quaife Front LSD

For sale here is a used Quaife Front LSD bought new from RRE. The Quaife LSD has a lifetime, TRANSFERABLE, warranty -- INCLUDING racing use!!

Get it here for a fraction of the cost new. Used only one summer. Perfect condition.

Saw your transfer case thread...
so you'll only sell this quaiffe for $500 if someone is also taking the t-case correct?

I'd actually take both..but I'd be sending the t-case to be rebuilt by shep..so would be kind of pointless to buy a relatively new one..
looking for a older cheaper one since it's gonna be rebuilt anyway.

Thanks for the interest. Yep, I will give a better deal if someone takes both.

AFAIK, Shep doesn't really "rebuild" the TC - he strengthens it by putting in larger size bolts, stronger trash magnet, etc. . . If the ring and pinion are worn out you are screwed. . .

Unless something has changed, you can't really rebuild a broke or worn out TC, as the ring and pinion costs almost as much as a new TC.

Also, just to be clear, the TC I'm selling is for an ACD equipped EVO.

You are correct! Thanks for pointing that out. I have an '04 TC sitting in my garage that could use a new ring gear.

Replace ring and pinion $1200
Rebuild TC $350
Total - $1550

So if you start with a bad TC you are spending $1550, plus the cost of the TC.

Starting with a good TC you'll spend $350. Which way to go just depends on how much you can get the TC for.
