BNIB 64mm FP RED TURBOCHARGER LOW PRICE!!!!
#46
they did it because its easier to produce with their own custom compressor housing. and yes it helps with surge but not enough to stay away from the 64mm. then again, you should never floor a big turbo like the red at low engine load anyways, thats asking to blow a motor. surge is caused by the engine choking due to you flowing so much airflow that the engine cant intake, especially with stock intake manifold and stock head..... floor a FP RED equipt car once in 5th gear at low rpm and it will surge like hell.... it happens with ALL HUGE turbos.
Either way the FP red has already stamped itself clear as day as a TRUE BOLT ON 500WHP+ capable turbo. and we should be thankful this even exists for us as an option.

thanks dude i been getting offers but people are not getting it. this is not a 1000-1200 turbo. We are not talking about a fp white or green. This is pretty much a bolt on 450whp turbo no meth. ITs not used and abused like most. its brand new built from a brand new evo 9 turbo. my price is low enough and Way more then fair. considering they cost 1799 new getting it for 1450-1500 is great
We know what its worth. Demand is not there for it right now, like you everyone else wants the black now too. It will sell, someone who is impatient and gets put on a wait for a black will fork out the cash to you.
bump an gl with the sale

its already gone as of this morning being converted to a fp black got ahold of robert and he is doing it for me since this is brand new so it all works out. i tried to help another member out that wanted a red but could not save up 1900 for one but oh well once in a lifetime oppuritinuty for one and now folks will have to pay full price or take a chance on a used turbo no thanks for me. fp black on the way next week

black is not going to change the demand for the red, so thats far from a good excuse to lowball someone with a red. most guys cant even afford to max a red out, so what makes you think they need a black?
#51
bingo!!!! most people dont really understand a black is not designed for a stock block. not to mention you will need to get a special oil pan. from talking to robert 30 psi on the black is a joke and its really geared torward 35-40 psi applications to get/see the true benifit of the turbo. if you want 25-30 psi the red is def where its at. i dont see stock block holding all that power without blowing it. at that point you have bigger problems then a 2k turbo

robert made 640tq at 42psi tappering to 35.. stock block = BYE. stock block is lucky to last at even 500tq let alone 640 jesus christ!
therefore the RED will still be sold rapidly, and will still be in high demand. the black is not a low/mid boost friendly turbo, if you run a black at 25psi its gonna be still sleeping, whereas the red will be waking up at 25psi. bigger turbos require more boost to wake up. (most of the time) or its like having a ferrari and only reving to 3k with it.. whats the point of having it if you dont use it properly?

and ya the black is big boy territory now, a turbo capable of deep in the 600WHP........ things change drastically at this power level. **** will start breaking that is abnormal to other people that havent broke 450-500whp.

In thefuture "IF" you choose to run 35/40 psi YOU CAN.
You dont have to push it to own. I would bet most who own a red make 360 pump whp anyways, might wanna push the stock one before
blowing $1500 on a 15/30 whp gain.
So dont tell me about demand. Ask FP, or watch. Red price will drop eventually 4 rebuild and out right purchase price... Just how it is...

Our society is based off "wants" not "needs"... The real picture is whats the better investment? Spending $1500 on a turbo which needs oil lines $199.00 and has the smaller WG. Which is a negative 4 some? A black performs almost similar psi/psi +- 200 rpms whoopie. But, its $1999.00 and includes the oil lines etc etc.

I see what youre saying, but its not psi for psi, its going to change because they are drastically 2 different airflow / cfm charts. the black requires more boost to make its peak efficiency....

its more like 600rpm different in spool also where the power hits. which is a big difference. If i was leaning for no more then 460-500 tops i would for sure get the red.. the oil lines only 150 bux.. the red cost 1800 so 1950 + ship, basically 2k .. I see your point and I dont think you understand how turbos work 100% though. the bigger turbos require more psi to reach their peak efficiency levels...... in a perfect world a smaller/bigger turbo would just mean at the same boost level the bigger turbo would outperform the turbo all around, and its not true because theres so many factors that you have to tie in.... the black is a 70lb/min turbo, its a monster bolt on.

Not going to argue, i have many turbos in my posession, and have had 2 640 and 702 whp DD evos in the past 4 years.
I know turbos, and i knoqw how they work. Im fairly certain on a 2.0 buschur said 200rpms. Not going to search bc im
on my phone ,

lol yup but i dont mind pushing the 35-40 psi but im not going to stay in boost constantly either. it will be nice to have the power then i can build up things around it. im only unleashing it at the track or road coursing but to buy this turbo with stock block is not the way to go and you will be disappointed if i was not going built motor i would have kept my red but since i am i might as well max the setup out and at least if i want it powerwise my evo is there. i just dont see how you think there is no market for the red. the average evo which makes up the majority on this site are not rocking built motors and want to avoid doing it. so there is your market for the hta green bbk full and fp red and map sst. strong market at that

Look im not trying to sound like a jerk, but people jump the gun and buy a turbo just because they need it. The stock turbo can be a monster when the car is the proper weight, and tuning is at its best.
A buddy of mista brown has had a stock 8 EIGHT turbo running 10.50s, on his black evo 8 he once had. still owns the record i think. So, what im saying is, if you are only using the power on the weekends, or once a month, why spend the extra dough. Push the stock turbo to the limit. Can make upwards of 420/440 whp on it when maxed out, and its not like you will be doing it all the time. Im referring to a 9 turbo vs a 64mm red btw.
I just dont see why everyone jumps on a bigger turbo so fast.
And the 64mm red is not the choice of many anyways. Regardless or stock appearing, its not as efficient as the 80mm... With the 6 psi of vacuum around the intake side, it needs an actual 36 psi to make 30 psi where as the 80mm cover makes 30 psi on 30 psi. Talk to robert, he will confirm.
Again, i was not trying to jack your thread, i just get entertained with "make offer threads" on stuff people make offers for, just not sufficient enough to make the deal. people are lowballing for a reason. last year this would have sold in 25 minutes. this year, if you had a black in hand asking 1900 it would sell before you hit the refresh. Its just how things work... FP is a successful company, because they always leave thier customers wanting more, and they always find just enough to make something better!
enjoy the black btw.
People in cali run 91 octane and make less HP on reds then I make on my IX turbo and you see that ALL the time on here. SAD numbers, say 350whp on a red... whats the point?
