thinking of selling my 64mm fp red

hello everyone my fp red is still on the car, but i am thinking of selling it for something with a little bit quicker spool up. it has about 5k miles on it and i am the second owner. the first owner bought it and used it for 1k miles then bought himself something bigger. i rarely punch my car and the turbo seems to be in great condition. i have used the new fp oil line as well so no oil starvation!!! if someone is willing to buy it for $1200 i will take it out as soon as my other turbo comes in and you can pay me once it is removed and i send you as many pictures as you want. the turbo is also ported and comes with the standard fp actuator. i also used a bolt instead of a stud for one of the exhaust manifold to turbo holes for an easier install!

i can also include the oil line for an extra 100.
pm me if you are interested!

thanks, Mike

That sucks your getting rid of a sick lil turbo that's capable to run 9's and 10's with no problem..My red spools at 3.800 full maybe you wanna check your car for boost leaks and have jr maybe refresh your tune..

yeah but what gear can you get that boost spool in? 4th? 5th?
1st gear in my car with the FP Red sees max boost at about 6000rpm,
2nd gear is about 5000rpm...

alot of people dont post results like that.
they always just talk about max boost when it's being loaded up on the dyno etc.

The FP Red is a physically heavy turbo (internally IMO), so the transient response isn't the best. I'm sure that if the BBK turbo runs smaller comp and turbine wheels, it will boost alot faster, and should have full boost in 2nd gear before 5000rpm!

just my 2c

The pull was done in third gear and in 4th it spooled faster cause like u said more load.......It has to do with part combo and the tune!!!!!!!!!!

there is only about 500 rpm between spool in first and forth. you have a problem. 6000rpm in first is no where near normal. 35r boosts faster than that.
