I don't see any way to clean it. You may be able to remove it but I was always worried it may not seal right. Pictures make it look darker than it is, it's a light uniform coating, sunlight shines through the tube.

The line can be cleaned. It's just a quick disconnect fitting. If you push the lip on the fitting inward the hose should pull right out.
