Motor is ready to be dropped in? This is just the shortblock right? Highly interested. Mind if I ask why you are getting rid of it and why so cheap?

Yes it is ready to be dropped in. When it was pulled it was leaked down and is 6% across the board. Bearings are in great health as well. I'm selling both of my 2.3's because I want to go with a much larger turbo and need the RPM to support it. It's priced where it is to sell it quickly so I can start the new project.

Yes, the shortblock is the same. The difference in he 8/9 is the head.

Not entirely. If you have a IX head and this was from a VIII, you will have to tap a line for the MIVEC oil line going from the head to the block but for the price, you really can't beat the amount for the block even if a little extra work is required .
