What exactly does the Ingalls engine torque damper do? Does it keep the engine from moving around? How does it work great?

Its like a shock absorber for the engine so when you put torque on the engine it prevents excess movement that the engine mounts allow. It helps shifting and also makes the car acceleration feel more positive. The only reason im getting rid of it is because i upgraded to solid motor mounts! Now i might be going back to stock we will see! You would not be disapointed!
