Well, if you are asking which turbo will "work" on an EVO, either the HX-35 or HX-40 would be your choice as the HX-52 is too large for the EVO engine bay with drastic fabrication. For a 1G/2G DSM, the HX-35 was an easy 500whp on E85 with about 28-30PSI in its standard BEP 0.55a/r housing. The HX-35 can flow about 56-lbs/min on the right set up. The HX-40 will flow up to its full potential in a T3 housing and is able to make 500whp at 30PSI on pump/93. Some would argue in the DSM scene that the HX-40 in a T3 housing is the most potent turbo for the platform on E85. The one thing that you cannot forget is that the Holsets are designed for disel fuel which is heavier than unleaded or E85 meaning that it will spool even quicker. Do not think just because it is a "large" looking turbo that it will be a turd because you are mistaken. Either the -35 or -40 would be a beast on an EVO.
