FS: Evo 8 RS 5SPD Transmission Low miles $900
2004 Evo 8 RS with 20XXX Miles. $900+shipping
its hard to find a good core as you dont know where it came from and what condition it is in. Any shop charges about $1500 for core deposit.
This was just removed from a running car this Monday. See video.
Very clean trans, This is perfect to send out to Buschur, Shep or Jacks to freshen up, so you would not have any down time.
All upshifting is perfect. All down shifting is perfect except...5th-->4th does not down shift. 5th -->3rd then to 4th is OK. I have been driving like this for 6k miles. Did not get any worst. I accidentally noticed it when I started driving more.
Options...
1-Install and drive like this. Just don't downshift to 4th.
2-fix 4th spring so it can downshift
3- Overhaul the unit and have a great swap.
Basically I can ship this unit(paid by you) to any builder to overhaul.

Its in process of getting rebuilt. It was only 4th synchro but im doing all bearings all sunchros and springs. It will be ready soon. It just wont be 900$.
