Blown Forged Motor (Evo 8) - Good Parts Partout
Okay, parting a built 2.0L that lost the #4 Rod.
The entire engine was okay, no issues, except the #4 rod and the block, plus two pistons that are okay but I'm not selling them due to slight imperfections.
I took the rotating assembly to Engine Supply in Savannah, GA who regularly builds high HP engines and has 4G63 experience. Tom has been a machinist for 35 years.
I had the crankshaft cleaned, magnafluxed, checked for straightness and micropolished even though it honestly didn't need it. Crank is STANDARD, not cut. I have before/after pics of the journals.
The rods were also checked. Tom, the machinist, told me they are like brand new and had no issues. The bronze bushings had no wear and still have the hatch/honing marks in them.
The #4 piston was actually okay except a gouge in the piston skirt and the dome hit a valve. The #3 piston is just as good as the others (#1 & 2) except a minor nick on the piston above the ringland. So I am only selling the #1 and #2 pistons. They are 85.5mm - .020" oversize.
CP Pistons - part No. 84-2A
Rods - Unknown brand. I "think" they are Brian Crower. They are H-beam rods and the only identification marks on them are on the rod cap / big end of the rod, but I think they are serial numbers. Here's the list of numbers:
#1 Rod: 9564S
#2 Rod: 9363S
#3 Rod: 9417S
Pistons and rods are $10,000 ... or best offer.
Crankshaft. Already micropolished, checked and ready to install. $300 Shipped.
I also have the front case, misc. engine sensors/brackets, intake/exhaust manifold for sale.

I've had a couple folks ask about the crank. The crank has been magnafluxed and checked for straightness. It didn't need it, but I had it micropolished as well to ensure it was 100% perfect. It's standard size and flawless. Interested buyers can text me for a picture of the machine shop invoice. Drop in and go.
