New Setup for the EVO ........ Full-Race 40r Twinscroll 2.4L Stroker 714HP 646TQ
Just put my evo back together after sitting for a year... I bought the car as basically a parts car and pretty much had to rebuild the entire thing from ground up.
The setup on pump gas made 474hp/400tq @18psi spooled by 4200 and on Q16 Race gas made 714hp/646tq @ 37psi spooled by 4900... Extremely responsive. The car is an animal and the powerband is sick! Still has A/C PS etc
Will post pics of the car and setup when I get time. Here are the dyno plots. Race gas=solid lines, pump gas=dotted. Enjoy

Here are some pics of the setup
there is a lot of room for further improvement on this setup with very minor changes. as soon as the madness of SEMA passes and things settle again we'll get to work, make more power on this turbo, and then put the BorgWarner on

My guess is that 1.06 A/R is about as large as one would go with a 40R, given Q16 and 35-40psi. I say this because we recall the previously discussed TS 40R 2.3L setup with a 0.94 A/R TS T4 that cracked 750whp, and that housing would probably fare better on the street for a 2.0L. Now, that car had a 1G head, so that may account for something. Also FWIW, the torque curve in the above chart seems to approximately mirror the boost curve.

Thanks everyone for all the comments
I rev the car to 7800. There is no point to spin it that high on the dyno though...
BTW, like Geoff said, there is a lot more room in the setup.
