2nd Magnus Test same great results 25hp

The Magnus cast Intake has proven its self once again. About a month ago Aaron and I had the chance to tune one of the 1st ones and we picked up a solid 30-35hp. With no other changes.

When I got back that next week I order 3 cast intakes 2 for stock and one for me. Kind of a brave move for me with only seeing results on 1 car. I never fully believe anything the 1st time around.

Called one of my good cust Jim who we had just done a Red,E85,built motor and misc mods for. Told him the results we just had with it and basicly told him I would garntee gains through the whole power band and min of 20hp. I was a little nervice being this bold. Well today the car did everything I promised. We picked up a solid 20-25hp all the way through with no other changes.

I know I sound like a broken record but this thing is just amazing all gains and no loss.

Awesome results!

Have you had any fitment problems with certain injectors, that required you to grind a bit off on the runner, like others have posted? I can not really tell from your pictures.

Before the car was stock intake and 65mm TB. All we did was the intake.

RC1200s dropped in with no modifications to the intake manifold. You do need to alter the alternator bracket on the IX as its slightly different than the VIII but we didnt get any pictures of this.

I almost think that we have a little MIVEC work left to do, and possibly a different intake only because of the amount of bends the Injen has.

Thank you so much for posting this Lucas. It really helps out the people who are out there looking to buy a intake manifold, which will perform excellently and will be worth spending the money on.......

how much for the magnus intake manifold? so you would see the 20-25whp results on a fully bolted on evo 9 with hks cams & fp red as well i assume.

The single rail manifold retails for $1000 more or less. We have seen up to a 35whp gain with this manifold and that was on a car with stock cams. I really feel there is more left to find but we need to do some more testing on this car. What HKS cams? The 272s and a Red should see 25whp as well, though with larger cams the difference should become more pronounced.
