i think the front page is still struggling. its really lacking some balance and since they're going through all these changes a fresh color scheme and new icon or picture up at the top might be a good last addition when everything is final. maybe blue like mark's evo would be good.

I love the new home page...
I think the older one was a little more confusing than the current...
But thats just my op.

Relax guys, they are trying to fix it, plus i dont mind at all - it was easy to move around before, because of old layout.

The page layout doesn't bother me 5% as much as the stupid advertiesments that pop up everytime anyone says cars and whatnot. It's annoying as hell.

That'll be gone at the beginning of the new year. There's another thread in this section about that.

Redesign will be a gradual process as our update essentially forced/allowed the Spt to reset virtually everything. A lot of it is being completely redone, such as the main page. The main page as it is now may not be the final format, however bear in mind that websites, especially active ones, do need to freshen up every now and then.

If it truly takes you 10 minutes to find Evo General I'd be more concerned for your reading ability than anything else, but I'm assuming that was a bit of an exaggeration. As it is now, the forum tree can be easily accessed through clicking the "COMMUNITY" tab on the navigation bar. (Red bar below the top banner ad on every page). In addition there is a forum link to the right of the recent threads on the main page.

If there are any other hard-to-find links it's good to bring it up, but please keep in mind that the site isn't necessarily intended to stay exactly the same from what you're used to until the end of time.

I'm pretty sure you're missing the point of this thread.

LOL!

Only suggestion/plea I would make concerns the home page layout and the Latest Threads preview area. It should show more of each thread's info on less lines (expand it horizontally), so you don't have to scroll down for the other discussions listed (I'm using 1280x1024 resolution). I don't mind scrolling down for other areas, but I find it much more convenient to be able to see all the discussions on one page.

I'm inclined to agree EJ. I know this isn't the final main page, though the layout may be close to final. IMHO it could stand to take up more space horizontally, however I believe the issue will be addressed in due time.

You can mouse over the thread title for the first line or two from the thread you know.

Recent threads show up. Right smack in the center. "Recent Threads:" Or you can click "New Posts" under your avatar to the right.
